These terms govern your use of Akiri (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
Akiri turns material you upload into an AI-assisted study experience: grounded chat and coaching, practice tests, flashcards, and progress tracking. It's a study aid, not a substitute for your course's official materials, instructors, or your own judgment — always verify important academic content against your syllabus or instructor.
You own the material you upload and the content you generate. You grant Akiri a limited license to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you (e.g. grounding AI answers, generating flashcards). Don't upload material you don't have the right to use.
Don't use Akiri to violate your institution's academic integrity policies, to upload unlawful or infringing content, or to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service.
Practice questions, summaries, flashcards, and coaching responses are generated by AI models and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Use your own judgment and check against your course material before relying on them for graded work.
We may update, change, or discontinue features, and may update these terms from time to time. We'll make reasonable efforts to flag material changes in the app.
You may stop using Akiri and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Akiri is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
