NSC November 2026

Maths and Physical Sciences, worked and checked the same night

On the evening of each paper we work every question the way a memo sets it out: the method, the answer, and which line earns which mark. A person checks every solution before it goes up.

The papers

Solutions go up from the early evening of each paper, question by question as they are checked.

Dates from the DBE’s October/November 2026 NSC timetable. Topics are the CAPS paper outlines, not a prediction of this year’s questions.

How these are made

  1. We start only once the paper has been written everywhere. Nothing is posted while anyone could still be writing.
  2. Akiri’s marking engine drafts each solution, and a person works the same question separately.
  3. A person checks every line and every mark before it goes up. Where the two workings disagree, the question waits.
  4. Every correction is listed on the paper’s page with the time, and the wrong value is left in the log.
  5. When the DBE publishes its official memo, we compare against it and correct.

We describe each question rather than reprinting the paper. Have your own question paper with you.

The paper is done. What was your working worth?

Type your answer to a question and see which marks it would earn, point by point, with the reason for each. Method marks and follow-through marks included. No account needed.

Akiri counts only what you show without help, objective by objective against the CAPS syllabus. Free plan, no card.

Questions

Is this the official memo?

No. It is our own worked solution, checked by a person. The official marking guideline comes from the DBE, and it is the one that counts.

Where do I get the official paper and memo?

From the DBE’s past papers page, once the department publishes them. We link to it rather than copying it.

My method is different from yours. Is it wrong?

Not necessarily. Memos accept other correct methods, and so do markers. Check your working with Mark my answer to see which points it earns.

Can you tell me my final mark?

No one can until results come out. Adding up your ticks here gives you an estimate, and it stays an estimate.
